Ziles Leung Dance Studio is located at 333 Denison street, Markham, Ontario, Canada; at the south east corner of Denison and Woodbine, just three blocks north of Scarborough, Toronto GTA, and within close proximity to Thornhill, Richmond hill and North York. Established since 1995, the current principal dance instructors are Ms. Ziles Leung and Mr. Gary Yip. Conducting classes in International Ballroom (Standard and Latin) dances, Ziles and Gary have been very successful in creating a friendly learning environment, exhibiting lots of patience and perseverance in their teachings. As a result, their students tend to generate a strong passion and desire to excel in their Ballroom (Standard and Latin) dance routines. Thousands of students have since learned to dance, with numerous of them furthering their studies to pursue open exams and competitions with distinguish honors. Lessons There are multiple dance lessons for beginners, intermediate and advance students to learn International Ballroom (Standard and Latin) dances. These dance classes typically have 6 ~ 12 students in each, and are taught in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin as the make-up of the class dictates. Different dances are taught, rotating amongst Ballroom and Latin dances, such as learn to dance Waltz, Rumba, Quickstep, Chacha, Foxtrot, Jive, Viennese Waltz (commonly called Quick Waltz), Samba, Tango, and Merengue. At request, Paso Doble will also be taught. Private lessons can be arranged for groups and couple(s), and the Ballroom Standard and Latin dance lesson syllabus can be customized to the need of the dance class. Wedding dance choreography can be custom designed for the bride and groom. Wedding dances can include parents of the bride and groom, bridesmaids and groomsmen. These "wedding-first-dance" are always impressive, romantic and adorable. Many of the newly wedded would come back with their guests to learn and enjoy more Ballroom and Latin dancing. Facilities           Ziles Dance Studio has a very enjoyable dance environment, with a 40ft. x 40ft. padded hardwood floor, equipped with superb sound facility. It is air conditioned with mirror lined walls. The studio is also equipped with disco ball, colorful lights and dimmers for use in practice nights, events, and special occasions. Practice Venue Ziles recommends lots of practice after each dancing lesson. On every Wednesday 7.00pm - 11.30pm, Ziles Leung Dance studio holds practice night in Century Palace Chinese Restaurant, 398 Ferrier St., Markham. Entry fee is about $16.00 (taxes and tips included) for an excellent Chinese dinner with your choice of entree, and with coffee, tea, and dessert. Participants can practise their International Ballroom Standard, Latin or social dances. There is a free dance lesson by Ziles from 8.30pm - 9.15pm on a simple dance routine. Come and try out in case you are not sure about your preference for Standard or Latin dancing. There is a practice night every month, usually on a Saturday, from 8.00pm - 11.00pm at Ziles Dance Studio. This night is for practising International Ballroom (Standard and Latin) dance routines. Ziles will be there for coaching, and you can also get support from peer groups. Diligent dancers can also rent the studio for their private practices. Peer Support Peer support helps new comers to learn faster by dancing with experienced partners, and at times, refresh their memories in forgotten dance steps. Students in the dance studio are very friendly. Quite often, peers from Intermediate and Advance group are available to assist in classes, practice nights and parties. In case your partner is not available, they will be able to fill in, or they will try to arrange for other partners to help you. Examinations, Competitions, Showtimes In case you wish to participate in exams, competitions, or to perform in shows and special occasions, Ziles or Gary will be available to coach you to achieve flying colors.
